I know it’s a little early to be talking about Christmas, but it always seems to creep up on us, and then, suddenly it’s here and we have to rush around trying to find presents for everyone.
This year, i’m going to try and make at least some of my presents, and with less than three months to go, I better get started!
If, like me, you want to make some of your own Christmas gifts, then get your tickets for The Sewing Summit between the 2nd and 6th November. The Sewing Summit is a free online global event which is aimed at beginner level upwards. There are a number of classes during the week, presented by sewing enthusiasts from around the world.
This month’s theme is Christmas Crafts and there are 15 speakers showing you different ideas, and giving you plenty of inspiration to sew your own crafts for Christmas.
And one of those presenters is yours truly. This is the first time I’ve presented for The Sewing Summit, so I do hope my class is easy to follow. I will be showing you how to make some simple Christmas drawstring gift bags. They are very simple to make and aimed at the beginner. They are a perfect way to use up scraps of material and can be reused, though I dare you to ask for them back, once the recipient has unwrapped their present.
The summit is free to view during the day. However if you want unlimited replays, and continue to watch the classes after the summit then you can purchase an All Access Pass. There is a super early bird price for this at the moment which is $39 (approx. £30), prices will go up closer to the date of the summit, so get in early.
If you do get to watch the summit, it would be great to have your feedback, so please get in touch.
